Kydex patterns
Carbon Fiber - Digital Desert - Digital Urban - Digital Woodland - Cant
0° – 10° is standard.
You can select a 0 - 5 - 10 - 15 - or 20 degree cant. We recommend you choose a cant based on where you intend to carry the weapon. If you wear your holster at or in front of the 3 o'clock position on the belt, then a straight up and down or 0 degree cant is preferred. This is so your hand can be placed high up on the grip in proper positioning for a Full Combat Grip. The further back you carry from 3 o'clock, the more of a forward cant you'll want in order to have your hand in this position. -
Muzzle Shape
Full Cover: Is closed at the bottom completely covering the muzzle.
Slight Open: Small opening (usually on the back) that allows the inside of the holster to be easily rinsed and debris to fall freely.
Open Barrel: Some models can share a holster. For example a G17 can fit in a G26 open barrel holster.
Threaded Barrel: Opening large enough for a threaded barrel to fit. - Sweat Guard
Full: Puts a layer of material between your body and the weapon. It guards the body from touching the firearm especially after repeated use when the weapon gets hot, and can guard your firearm from sweat, but its more holster and can be uncomfortable when maneuvering the body. The less of a holster you have to do its job the better. On the other hand higher sweat guards also prevent clothing from getting in the way when holstering the weapon. possible IWB preferred.
Low: Less material to get in the way which is always good. After you draw the weapon you don’t have the height of the weapon that can dig into your side if your bending around at the ribcage, but no protection from heat or potential sweat if in an active or hot environment. It may require some practice to keep clothing from interfering with draw and holstering. A low sweat guard is preferred for loading while the weapon remains in the holster. possible OWB preferred.
Mid: Something in-between. - Mag Release
Covered: So you wont accidentally eject the mag with your body. This may be preferable for IWB, but unable to release the mag while the weapon is holstered.
Exposed: Allows you to access the mag release while the weapon is holstered this can be useful for one handed reloads. - Q: What type of loops come with the holster?
A: Every holster comes with standard OWB P-Style loops available in 1.5" (Standard), 1.75", and 2" belt sizes.
This type of loop is much more versatile by not only acting as standard loops but they allow the user to mount the loop in an up or downward position that in effect can add a positive or negative cant. In most cases you can also raise or lower the loop to a different hole position to increase or decrease the cant even greater. If you want your loops made a specific way other than P-Style please let us know in the additional notes. - Q:
Do you offer loops for IWB?
A: Yes we offer thick Kydex J-Hooks with eyelet reinforced holes that can be purchased additionally. - Q:
Which way should my rounds face with a mag carrier?
A: Pistol Mags typically face forward for an index finger draw, while rifle mags face rear for the beer can grip.
This is still up to user preference so just let us know how you want your gear made. - Q: What if you don't have my firearm?
A: If we can get a blue gun for it we will make it. Send us your make and model and we will let you know if it can be done. Even if there isn't a simulator for it, some firearms can be made with other models of hand guns. For example they didn't make a blue gun for the 1911 Micro Compact w/Rail, so we made a rail and strapped it to a standard 1911 Micro Compact, and it worked perfectly. If it can be done we will give it a shot, so make sure to ask because we may still be able to do it. - Q: If you need to order a
Blue Gun to build my system, how long will that take?
A: It can take an additional 3 - 7 days for us to receive a blue gun depending on if the supplier has it in stock or not. - Q: How do I pay for my
items?
A: After we get your order form, you will receive an email confirming the order along with a simple and secure PayPal invoice that allows you to pay with ether Credit Card, Bank Account, or PayPal. - Q: The invoice is from
PayPal so do I need to have a PayPal Account?
A: No, You can select the Credit Card option and it will allow you to pay without an account just like any other online credit card transaction. We use PayPal as a trusted secure method for credit card payments.
Please remember to verify your current shipping address during checkout as we cannot be responsible for packages once they are out of our hands. - Q: Do you accept other
forms of payment such as Money Order or Check?
A: No Not at this time. - Q: How long will it take
to receive my package once its shipped?
A: We use USPS Priority Mail 2 - 3 day shipping with Tracking. - Q: How will my holster look?
A: The look of your holster depends on the options you’ve selected, but please let us know if you have any questions, concerns, or input about the way you want your items crafted. Just like going to the tailor, you can give us and idea of how you want it made and we will try to accommodate you. Whether you like one of our holster designs, or have something in mind, just let us know and we will make it for you. (We may contact you for your preferences during the design phase, so please keep an eye on your email.) - Q: Can I adjust the cant on the holster?
A: Yes, most of our holsters are made with a 4 or 5 hole loop pattern that allow the user to mount all loop types in a higher or lower position, in effect raising or lowering the cant. Some compact holsters only have a 3 hole pattern, but can still be adjusted with our P style loops by mounting the loop either up or down. - Q: What is the difference between the double SX2 and OPTM
Mag carriers?
SX2: simply stands for Single X 2. Its two single mag carriers modularly connected into a double carrier. It comes with one set of loops and extended hardware to attach the two mags to each other. If the user wants to take only one mag out for the day they can simply detach the mags and connect the loops to a single carrier. An additional set of loops may be purchased to convert them to two single mags.
OPTM: this is our One Piece Tension Mag. The magazines cannot be separated and are spaced by a tension screw to adjust the magazine retention. - Q: Will KYDEX® wear the
finish on my firearm?
A: Yes, It can over time. like any holster, KYDEX® will rub against your firearm causing the finish to wear.
KYDEX® holsters are primarily made to be lightweight, rugged, and concealable for everyday carry, so this should be expected. In short, don't carry the weapon you don't want the finish to wear on. - Q: Can I use my firearm without the light
attachment in a
light compatible holster?
A: Short answer No.
A: Long answer the reason it wont hold your firearm without the light is because Kydex takes on the impression of what its been pressed to, and the retention points are different with light compatible holsters.
With a standard holster the main retention point is the trigger guard, but a light compatible holster does not have retention on the trigger guard because this area needs to be clear in order to holster the weapon with the light attached. A firearm without the light attached can sit in a light compatible holster but will have no retention and will not be safe. - Q: What happens if I have an issue with my holster once I
receive it?
A: Let us know and we will take care of it. We work with our customers so just email us and we will provide assistance. - Q: Is there anything I need to know about care for my
holster?
A: Yes. Kydex is a super tough, durable thermoplastic with impact, chemical, and breakage resistance. There isn't much you need to worry about with Kydex EXCEPT! just like any plastic it can deform with heat. In fact this is why Kydex is used due to its formability with heat. So please don’t leave your gear where it can over heat such as inside a hot vehicle or in direct sunlight for long periods. We've all seen what can happen to CD's and old cassette tapes when left in a hot car. Try not to do this with your $60+ holster. - Q: Do you have a Warranty?
A: If anything happens to the holster outside of normal wear and tear or improper use (*examples listed below)
at our discretion we will allow our customers to ship it back to us and we will gladly fix, modify or replace it free of charge. KYDEX® holsters are made to stand up to some of the toughest duties performed, so there are few reasons a holster would ever come back anyway, but If there is a problem related to craftsmanship or functionality we will make sure its right. - Problems with an eyelet, loop, or piece of hardware. - Covered
